I cannot believe another year has passed. It seems like just yesterday I was graduating college, and pretty soon I will be graduating from law school! Over the past few months I have been sharing my looks and products via Instagram, but it is time to finally return to my traditional blogging roots. Slowly, but surely I am sure I will regain the momentum I had when I first started a few years ago. As my first post, I am going to take you through my favorite looks and products of 2015! Thank you for checking out my brand new blog! I have added links to each of the products I am featuring- just in case they catch your eye!
My favorite purchase of 2015 was the Louis Vuitton Eva Clutch. I had been itching to add this bag to my collection for a while, and I am so glad I was able to purchase it at the 5th Avenue store in October. This bag has slowly crept into everyday use because of the convenient crossbody strap and the fact it limits how much I can carry. I am so used to carrying my large Neverfull, which is usually full to the brim, and takes a toll on my poor shoulder. If you have been looking for a nice going out bag, definitely look into this one. It is chic, versatile, and big enough to carry just the necessities.
One of my top "liked" pictures on Instagram was this picture. This BB Dakota coat has been one of my favorite TJMaxx finds and has been a perfect transition between fall and winter. The Buffalo Plaid print has been around for a while, but it is just starting to creep back into the trend cycle so this coat has garnered many compliments from passersby. The matching scarf was a sale scored from Burberry a few years ago and I just love pairing these two together because they coordinate so well.
This post was all about the make-up - eyes especially. Having been in the theater all my life, fake eyelashes (falsies) have always been one of my favorite pieces to play around with. My newly found favorite brand is Velour, and I have since tried the Sephora 100% silk collection. Practice makes perfect, and putting on falsies is definitely an art form. I am hoping to get a tutorial up some time in the near future to showcase different falsie looks depending on the occasion.
These Sam Edelman boots were a Black Friday steal! They are still on sale now and if you sign up for emails you can get an additional 10% off, but nothing beats the sixty some dollars I paid during Black Friday. Sam easily makes some of the most comfortable boots- heeled and flat- and the quality definitely meets my picky standards. Dress 'em up, dress 'em down- I have worn these boots with leggings and jeans, and skirts and dresses! They also come in plain, everyday colors for a more versatile look.
This Louis Vuitton scarf was my favorite Christmas gift from last year, and once I figured out how to style it- it became a staple in my wardrobe. It is a pretty big scarf, but there are a ton of great ways to wear it without feeling overwhelmed by the size. I am always complimented on the vibrancy of the color no matter what my outfit consists of- dress, leggings, jeans- because it is a stylish piece that can make just about any outfit combination.
Lastly, as part of my cliché New Years resolution I have decided to take more risks and step out of my already pretty large comfort zone. I have always loved earrings- big ones especially- and instead of waiting for an occasion to wear them (like these J Crew earrings), I am just going to wear them whenever and wherever I want! I really love the jewelry at J Crew because the colors are so bright and the material feels heavy and well made. There is no way you can look at these beauties and say they are not a statement piece.
Well, here it is! My top posts from 2015! I have loved sharing my law school fashions and "lawyerly" looks with you, and I anticipate bringing in this new year with even more stylish posts. Stay tuned for more posts and more Winston!
